Cleanergy History
Realizing that the timing for investment in green energy production was right, Cleanergy AB was founded in 2008 when a group of Swedish investors acquired all rights of the V 161 Stirling engine from Solo Kleinmotoren GmbH of Germany. All product, sales and manufacturing related assets were transferred to the new company. The transfer also included key technology staff.
Directly following the founding and the technology transfer, a central effort has been to prepare for large scale industrialization. This has included reviewing and development of all product systems and components, and in particular the development of off-grid capability and of a proprietary PLC with improved control and monitoring. Also, the supplier base has been reviewed and to a large extent changed to Swedish automotive subcontractors. Further, quality assurance tests and improvements of assembly processes followed. Meanwhile the organization has been developed to include all the needed functions and capabilities: R&D, production, quality, sales and marketing and HR.
